Great Tempura!!! Must try!! Group more than 6pax need to make prior reservation.

Good, quick, inexpensive lunch from this restaurant. Very nice lady boss who speaks good English. You will need to do a short walk from the Kawaguchiko train station, it's worth the walk.

Ninja Tempura so special. Very polite staff with English speaking. Help refilling rice for us. happy and comfort to eat here. Small restaurant , they mentioned cannot accept to serve a group of people more than 8.

Food prices are quite affordable, but the type of food menu is less varied. The taste of "tempura" is delicious and fits perfectly crispy. If you take a set meal menu, you can ask for more rice as you wish.

Loved this place!!! During my Fuji trip, cycled round the lake and stopped by at Tempura Restaurant Ninja for a late lunch. A simple interior decor but filled with heavenly food. Very polite, patient and helpful staff.Order taken and hot food was served promptly. Absolutely tasty tempura and all at a very reasonable price. Great food, great staff and a great restaurant!!

Came on a Friday afternoon and the place was packed. There was only a lady serving and two chefs in the kitchen. Had to wait for close to 25min for food to be served.Vegetable tendon was tasty, veggies were fresh and batter was crispy. Mix tendon was not bad.In my opinion, tempura is not bad but not exceptional. But considering that tempura shop might not easily found in this area, it is a good choice if you crave for tempura.

Excellent tempura with rice in this slightly ninja themed restaurant near lake Kawaguchiko. Unlike other ninja restaurans in Japan, this one is not a tourist trap. Don't expect ninja magic tricks or heavy ninja decorations or staff wearing ninja clothes. The ninja references here are more discrete, but the price is also much reasonable. For less than 1000 yen, you get a set of delicious tempura (either only vegetables, or a mix of seafood and vegetables) with a bowl of rice, a miso soup and some pickles.The restaurant is clean and well organized.

The tempura was really crispy and delicious! I would recommend the seafood temdon to get a variety of different tempura.

We ordered the Seafood Tempura meal. The surprised one is the tempura squid!! Not chewy and very soft. The place is walkable from the Kawaguchi station.

Satisfying tempura experience, great source rice ratio, there was lingering tasty source for my last rice balls, no kidding as I finished every single drop of rice. A small pleasant surprise within the seafood set was the fried squid texture!An additional bonus is no que at the restaurant at it is 200 meters away from the main bus station. I hesitated to post this review afraid of exposing this hidden gem, the food was so nice it convinced me to share.

Nice Tendon. A good choice when you are finding restaurant near the station, just 3 mins walk. The tempura are crispy and taste really good.

We can I find better restaurant around the train station and it's not required pre-boooking.Tenpuro meets our expectation, fair rate, service is not that Japanese helpful as others that I met in Japan if you don't mind.

This place is fast and really good. Got the seafood tempura Don and there is so much fish and seafood. Tempura is well done, crunchy on outside and meat is soft on inside.

Really good tempura here and we really liked how the owner uses clean oil to cook. Will stop by this place if we are travelling near here again!

Had an awesome meal here! They offer a vegetable tempura meal with rice, tempura and miso soup. It was a great feast after a long day of walking around. Close to the Mt Fuji Ropeway and Kawaguchiko Station. Loved it ❤ (and the Ninja beer was pretty good too).

It is located further away than other popular restaurants from the train station but it is still within comfortable walking distance.Cheap and good tempura don. The ingredients are fresh and the portions are generous. The highlight will be the darts shaped tempura made from seaweed.

I have had a lot of tempura both in Canada and in Tokyo and Kyoto. I haven't been everywhere or the places with long line-ups in Tokyo but I kinda think this place is top 3 for sure. The batter was light and crispy, the seafood was so obviously fresh. The staff understood enough English that it wasn't a problem. Wonderful place!

The Ninja theme is as interesting as the the more fry in the tempura don. The meal is tasty and delicious. Recommended.

Love the cosy atmosphere. We were there around 6-7pm. Not many items on their menu, but food is nice and good quality. After we ordered, other walk in customers were told some items were sold out. So you need to go early especially if you have a big group. There's a parking space next to the restaurant, can accommodate about 2 vehicles.

Very nice tempura and rice sets. We could have eaten a bigger portion, but it's a reasonable price for what you get. The variety in the seafood set was particularly good, and all cooked wonderfully.

Pretty nice place with traditional tempura and surprisingly good rice. There's free refills on the rice and miso soup.Don't worry if you don't speak Japanese, there is an English menu.I got the premium tempura don with the tempura scallops and different types of fishes and thought it was really good classic tempura.

The food is fantastic. There are not much choices. Just between seafood or vege or mixed tempura. Anyway, tempura is why we are here for.

This tempura restaurant is 5 mins walk from the guesthouse I staying. It is located at the essential route to the Kawaguchiko Lake and is easy to locate. The food taste great. Price is affordable - 900 to 1300 yen. Serving is prompt. Love the ninja theme especially on the meal itself. And this is one of the few restaurants I been to serves hot malt tea as compare to typical ice water.

Located a bit further from Kawaguchiko Station than Fuji Tempura Idaten, but a MUCH better experience and less of a canteen-style feel. Also much cheaper for a much better quality of food. We dropped in about half an hour before closing but were still served very quickly by very friendly and enthusiastic staff who spoke decent English. One of the best experiences of tempura I’ve had in Japan thus far.

Unless you live around the bus station, kawaguchiko eki, the side near the lake didn't have many choices. This was the one open during the time. Not too much choices. Everything was tempura buttered and deep fried.The taste were okay. Mild to an old tasting tongue. By around 18:30, they ran out of ingredients!

Great food and staff. The flavor is not that strong as other tempura restaurant, and this may be one of the best tempura I have in japan, although it is not famous. Tempura itself is very crispy and fresh, you should have lunch or dinner here to enjoy their food. Just a reminder, remembering to make a reservation if there are more than six of you, otherwise, staff would not take you even there are still some rooms in the restaurant.

Delightful tempura lunch tasty and reasonably priced for a tourist location. Limited menu meant fast service. Can recommend the ginger ninja ale.
